A single juvenile Montagu's Harrier gave very good views during the morning and was regularly doing battle with a Kestrel and a Marsh Harrier! Unfortunately I was only able to obtain distant pictures.

- I'm a young birder basically, but I'm also interested in many other aspectes of nature, such as orchids, butterflies, dragonflies and moths. My BOU British list is 326 and my highest year list was 253 in 2005. Some of the best species on my British list include Eastern Crowned Warbler, Trumpeter Finch, Audouins Gull, White Crowned Sparrow, Greater Sandplover, Pallid Harrier (2), Stilt Sandpiper, Red-flanked Bluetail and American Robin. My local patch is Holme Dunes, Norfolk, where my best birds have been Black-eared Kite, Black-throated Thrush, Greenish Warbler, Sardinian Warbler, American Wigeon, Surf Scoter and Lesser Yellowlegs. My best finds have included European Bee-eater, Richard's Pipit, Pallas's Warbler, Barred Warbler, Black Kite, Red-backed Shrike, Iceland Gull (2), Sabine's Gull (4) and Honey Buzzard My favourite bird is Little Auk, closely followed by my second favourite Firecrest.
